Psychological Research Journal is a scientific journal that publishes theoretical, historical, empirical, and critical review and discussion articles that deal with a broad range of themes in psychology. Every psychological topic is of interest to the journal if considered under the aspect of the most recent research advances: general, cognitive and experimental psychology; history of psychology; physiological psychology, neuropsychology and psychobiology; animal and comparative psychology; psychometry and methodology of psychological research; developmental and educational psychology; social psychology; work and organizational psychology; dynamic psychology; clinical psychology. The journal is sensitive to an approach that seeks to intercept current issues and the problems that emerge from culture and society, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue. Psychological Research Journal can host forums focused on specific issues or which collect scientific contributions associated with events and conferences and the organic presentation of the results of projects. The journal publishes articles in Italian and English, privileging the latter ones to encourage international diffusion.

The Journal uses a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are chosen for their expertise. The article will be sent anonymously to reviewers to avoid possible influences due to the name of the author. The editors may decide not to submit the article to any referee in the case it is judged as not relevant, not rigorous or not meeting appropriate scientific standards. Reviewers' evaluations will be sent to the author also in case of negative response.

The publication of any single article is not bound to the payment of any fee.

Articles concerning individuals or containing personal information that makes a human subject identifiable must comply with the international standards set by the Declaration of Helsinki, developed by the World Medical Association (WMA) and revised in 2013.
