The author explores the theoretical implications of the interlinkage between migration (namely in fragile rural areas), religion, networks development and economic practices from the perspective of nested markets. How do these elements interact? What kind of perspectives could emerge from the joint analysis of these concepts? Through a brief overview of the research literature, the author highlights the main points of contact between these macro-themes thus focusing on the impact that such convergences could have on fragile areas and, more broadly, on the integration processes of migrants in local territories.
