The research focuses on the analysis of the information taken from the list of students that earned a degree at the Studium of Catania during the first two centuries of its activity. This paper provides more knowledge about intellectual mobility of Sicilian élite and documents the renewed interest of the Italian Early Modern history towards the thematic cartography and the historiography traditions connected to the creation of historical atlas.
