In the following essay I share, starting from my personal experience, something concerning the community of people who have been affected by Covid. In the first part I show the difference between my region, governed for many years by people who, in order to spare and privatize the healthcare system erased all aspects of territorial approach to medicine, and was totally unprepared to face the virus diffusion, and a country, Germany, which is not perfect, but was prepared to face the virus because of the surplus necessary for facing the unexpected. In the second part I will share my story as a patient affected by the virus: the feeling of being part of a collective subject, myself and the community which I belong to.
