Some issues related to pottery production in Palermo in the late Middle Ages are addressed trying to compare documentary sources, archaeological sources and pottery data. The data analyzed cover a chronological span (end of the 12th - first half of the 14th century) that sees the transformation of multilingual Palermo, with a large Islamic and Arabic-speaking population, into a Christian and predominantly Latin city, these transformations are also reflected on ceramic production.
