The quality of teaching in higher education depends on the teaching skills of teachers (European Commission, 2017). They are asked to design student-centered activities in view of the expected learning outcomes, reinforcing the coherence between planning, assessment methods, activities and the sharing of these with the students. The paper presents some effects observed following the DISCENTIA Project, both in the way the teachers compiled the syllabus and in the students’ perception of the teaching experience at the University of Cagliari.
