Firstly, the Autor expounds and describes the “triadic” epistemological paradigm, defining its essentials characteristics and adopting it as a critical-interpretative scheme throughout the text. This initial recognition is fundamental because it serves as an interpretative lens for the analysis of the two pedagogical proposals that follow it. The first, what the Autor calls “neoliberal pedagogy”, reflects the attempt to define, starting from a brief analysis of the broader neoliberal economic-political context, the existence, even though latent, of a pedagogy capable of reproducing values, perspectives and directions in citizens’ consciousness. Instead, the second pedagogical proposal originates from the desire to highlight ethical alternatives to the dehumanizing neoliberal education, emphasizing concepts as that of the person and democracy, trying to harmonize and bring into dialogue traditionally different, and sometimes opposite, philosophical-pedagogical perspectives. The Autor names this attempt “composite pedagogy”.
