Eating disorders are complex conditions. No aspect, from the organic to the psychological-social, psychiatric, or even the internalization of cultural models, can be overlooked in their treatment. This requires an interdisciplinary therapeutic response, involving various professionals capable of integrating specialized skills into the diagnostic-therapeutic process and developing a shared, negotiated plan over time. This article aims to reflect on the contribution that systems thinking makes to practicing interdisciplinarity: complexity, circularity, and reflexivity find application in shared support work. The ability to engage in relationships, using oneself and others, also allows the systemic therapist to navigate various interactive contexts (client, family, team, and other care systems), venturing into coordinated work in broader contexts, managing complexity, integrating multiple languages, focusing on processes, and enhancing the relationships that make them evolve.
Keywords: interdisciplinarity, complexity, eating disorders.
