The work examines the regime of common goods in the international law of the space, with particular regard to the application of the principles of the common heritage of mankind and res communis omnium. The author highlights how the two principles in question are grounded in international treaties on outer space and also constitute the legal foundation of other general principles contained in the relevant conventional regulatory regime. The importance of reference to the aforementioned principles of international law and especially to the principle of the common heritage of mankind in order to limit state claims to exclusive use and control of outer space and its resources is also emphasised.
